Basic Beer Batter

If you would like a lighter batter, feel free to substitute club soda or a combination of club soda and beer
Ingredients
  • 1.5 C all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 12 oz beer (or more to reach desired consistency)
Instructions
  1. Stir first 6 ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Add beer and whisk slowly just until all of the flour is moistened.
  3. Allow to rest at room temperature for 10 minutes. Use as directed.
