Recipe type: Bread
Cuisine: Mexican
  • 2 cups masa
  • 1¼ cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix by hand until a smooth, soft dough forms. It should not stick to your hands. If the dough is too sticky, add more masa. Too dry, add a touch of water.
  2. Separate the dough into 2 Tbsp portions, rolling into little balls. Between two pieces of wax paper on a tortilla press, flatten each of the balls, forming your tortillas.
  3. Cook each tortilla on a hot griddle for 1-2 minutes or until filling with air and slightly charred.
  4. Enjoy with your favorite toppings!
