My wife, like many women, loves to get flowers. With Valentine’s Day coming up, it’s an easy get. They last a good week or more if you get fresh ones and act as a constant reminder of your affection for her. Guys…get your ladies flowers!
Most guys, on the other hand, could care less about getting flowers. Ladies, if you come home with a bouquet of flowers for your guy, he will be a little confused. Trust me on this. My wife figured this out several years ago and, as a joke, came up with a creative way to show her love and appreciation.
She will stop and pick up a six-pack of beer (or Mello Yello, or something else) and come home with a half-dozen “roses” for me. Yes, ladies, this is how you get your guys flowers for Valentine’s Day.
Pick up six bottles or cans (or even an entire dozen, if you’re feeling frisky) of his favorite whatever. You can arrange them in a “vase” (i.e. ice bucket) or just hand him the box. You know, like him handing you the flowers to put into the vase yourself. He will appreciate that gesture more than you can imagine and, depending upon what you are picking up, it’ll probably be much cheaper than a dozen roses!
What do you do for your man on Valentine’s Day? Have you ever gotten him flowers or “flowers”? Guys…what is the best Valentine’s Day present you’ve ever received? Leave a comment and share your story.

Definitely cheaper than roses and a really good idea. My husband would certainly appreciate it.

I made bacon flowers for him this year and he got a kick out of it and showed his friends.
